Since 2004 we have been appraising residential homes, cottages and vacant land from Simcoe County to Muskoka and everywhere in between. We opened our Muskoka satellite office in Port Carling in 2020. Our appraisers are insured, and top-level certified by the appraisal institute of Canada, and are approved by top lenders like Home Trust, Equitable Bank, RMG/MCAP, and private lenders. McFarlane Appraisals will need to inspect and take photos of both
INTERIOR and EXTERIOR of your home.

In respect to the progress of COVID vaccinations and continual updates from the public healthcare professionals, the client and Appraiser will discuss the options of entering the home. In some cases or during lockdowns, the client will be required to take the interior photos with the guidance of the Appraiser.

Our appraisers are fully vaccinated and practice all healthcare protocols of wearing personal protective equipment. We request homeowners to also take the same precautionary safety measures.

Homeowner/s or tenant/s) must confirm that:

• Are not exhibiting any symptoms of Covid-19 including but not limited to, headache/fever/sore throat/cough/shortness of breath

• Have not travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks

• Have not been in close contact with anyone diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past 2 weeks

You will not hold McFarlane Appraisals (or any parties to) liable for any reason related to the Interior Viewing of the property with respect to Covid-19.

I have been a realtor since 2000 and appraising residential homes since 2004. Became an AIC Certified CRA in 2012, and opened McFarlane Appraisals Barrie in 2014. Our Muskoka office was opened in Port Carling in 2020. I was born and raised in Barrie and now live here with my wife to raise our 2 sons. My family has owned a cottage on Lake Muskoka for 30+ years, and I enjoy coaching my sons in the sports they play, as well as playing golf and skiing.

Ken Davenport has been a licensed realtor since 2007. In addition to his current work in the residential appraisal, Ken has conducted a number of market research studies on key southern Ontario residential real estate markets. He also holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. In an earlier life, Ken spent several years in banking, including a stint in mortgage lending.
